It was with great pleasure that Vikingegaarden yesterday, Monday 22/8-11, welcomed Danish Minster of Climate and Energy, Lykke Friis. The Minister had driven all the way to Vonge to see the intelligent charging stand, EVergreen, which also was shown publicly for the first time.
The EVergreen charging post allows the electric vehicle owner to choose electricity when it is either cheapest or most CO2 friendly. It is the latest step in the development of electric cars, and according to the Minister of Climate and Energy, it is an essential step in an environmentally friendly direction.
Charging stations may become a crucial part of the transition to get the Danish fleet to run on more CO2-neutral energy and thereby reduce the amount of CO2 emissions on Danish roads. The crucial factor is that electric cars will be able to make the Danes less dependent on fossil fuels like coal and oil. The idea is popular, and Vikingegaarden has already received its first orders from the company Moto Mundo and Thisted Municipality - who was also present at the unveiling.
Vikingegaarden thanks the Minister for the visit and of course the many other guests who helped make the day extra special.
